What about that thing called self-love?
Each one of us lives, thinks, and daydreams with and within the most amazing and valuable of possessions: our human body.
Knowing that it’s irreplaceable, everything about the care and maintenance of your body matters.
Out of the 11 systems that regulate the human body, only 2 have a ‘memory’: the nervous system and the immune system. Taking extra care of those is key. Living a new story of Wellness inscribes a new scenario for these 2 systems. One that will benefit your whole-body system.
There are no accidents in this awesome body system. The message in every sensation, every energy spurt (high or low), every craving, discomfort, pain, exhilaration, or disease – is worth your full attention. Acknowledging your body’s somatic language takes awareness, practice and experience. But it is a language that you can learn to listen to.
Pay attention to all the messages. When you eat too much (or too little). When you drink, when you workout, or feel refreshed by sleep, or drained, etc. Your body always speaks to you. Acknowledge what your body says in pain, or headaches, etc. and you can change the process instead of just medicating.
With HT, you may have the impression that your body is working against you. But every symptom is a message. It’s about understanding why your body is doing what it does, and building your knowledge of the vital systems that need to be addressed to start restoring balance.
It’s also about developing the ability to observe and acknowledge your body inside out. A process where you reconnect with yourself, learn to manage your mind, and realise that if strengthening and healing your body takes time, reshaping your mind around it is just as necessary. There’s a point when you become so in tune with your body, you can tell when your hormones are imbalanced. Tuning into a state of optimal mind-body-spirit fit starts by asking yourself: I am on the Wellness path that I want to be on?
There’s are strategies to get there.
Could this be a post about self-love? Nah!
If we agree on the basic premise that your body is the only one you’ll ever have for the rest of your life: it reflects the cumulative care that you take of it. Everything counts.
I still have so much to tell you.
Stay attuned and inspire yourself.
