Do you have enough time?
The lock-down has given us the gift of time. But with family, or kids, or remote work responsibilities, we find ourselves giving all our time, with little left for us. And no time at all for that home workout we had promised ourselves to start.
I discovered sliding time blocking to be my most powerful tool in lock-down.
1-Time blocking: scheduling a specific time in the day to do only one project or task (e.g. 30 minutes workout or stretching)
2- It’s sliding: because life gets in the way, even with the most perfectly planned day, so I allow a flexible time frame to slide in those 30 minutes (e.g. anytime between 5 and 7pm), and stick to it. By hook or by crook.
Use this slice of time to train differently. Take your body somewhere it has never been before. That could be a handstand, stretching, or simply going up and down the stairs. As simple as that.
